Kwafo Djan is a SandHurst-AEC Principal and an Architect/Project Management professional with more than twenty-nine years of experience creating and managing multimillion-dollar Commercial, Institutional, and Federal projects.
He is responsible for overseeing the company’s overall operations, developing and implementing strategies that meet the needs of our customers, stakeholders, and employees. Apart from managing the executive leadership team, Kwafo is responsible for making critical decisions and executing the company’s culture.
Before joining SandHurst-AEC, Kwafo served in Project/Construction Management leadership roles at the Howard Hughes Medical Institute, Peterson Companies, and Kaiser Permanente.
He earned his Bachelor of Science and Bachelor Of Architecture Degrees from The Catholic University of America and a Graduate Certificate in Construction Management. He holds a Certificate in Laboratory Design from Harvard School of Public Health and certificates in New & Existing Building Commissioning from the University of Wisconsin.
Kwafo served as a Planning Commissioner on the City of Falls Church Planning Commission & Liaison to the Architectural Review Board, a member of the Millennium Challenge Compact-Liberia-Technical Evaluation Panel, and is affiliated with the Information Systems Security, AFCEA, Society of American Military Engineers(SAME), and the Federal Real Property Association. (FRPA).
