A unique 40,000 square foot office building in Gainesville, VA.
Built on the principles and practices of environmentally responsible development, the WSSI Building is the eighth project in Virginia to receive
the U.S. Green Building Council’s LEED certification, and is the first to achieve the prestigious GOLD level of certification and NAIOP’s Green Development Award.
The 2.37 acre site was designed as a veritable laboratory for low-impact development (LID) and employs several LID methods to exceed all federal, state, local and LEED requirements for stormwater management.
WSSI uses 35% less energy and 50% less water than a typical building of its size and occupancy, and 100% of energy consumption is offset with renewable energy credits.
